I watched a movie on HBO last night. It’s a psychological horror film that was released in 2019. “Ma” tells the story of a lonely woman named Sue Ann, who befriends a group of teenagers and allows them to party in her basement. However, as the teens’ trust in Ma grows, her behavior becomes increasingly erratic and dangerous. But as it becomes clear that many of the kids’ parents went to the same high school as Sue Ann, a darker and deeper backstory starts to come into play.
