Jet Li was born in Beijing as Li Lian Jie in 1963. He started training at the Beijing Wushu Academy when he was just a kid and won his first medal at the tender age of 11. By the time he was 20, he had five gold medals and was even a national coach. His first Chinese film was Shaolin Temple (1982), and his movie martial arts career really took off. The world quickly realized that this gorgeous man could act, do all his own stunts, and charm the pants off anyone. He became the biggest star of the kung fu film boom.
Jet Li’s talents couldn’t stay hidden, and soon enough, he won over Hollywood with his first leading role in Romeo Must Die (2000). Sadly, we never got to see his junk, but we did get a good look at his perfect glutes in Hero (2003), when he stood naked while a bunch of lucky guys dressed him. These days, Jet has stopped making the awesome action movies we all love and has shifted toward productions with a philosophical twist. Maybe all that meditation will inspire him to show off his samurai sword on camera?
